David's friends and family invite you to leave tributes and share memories below.

  1. Dave will be fondly remembered by us as a very clever, welcoming and funny guy.
Dave seemed to effortlessly make people feel at ease in his company and this, coupled with his great sense of humour, made him such a likeable guy.
We hope that the many fun memories from times past, help to ease this sad time of loss.
Our love and prayers are with Dave’s family and friends.
    Rest In Peace, Dave
    Donna and Andrew Bosnjak xx

  2. It’s been many years since I’ve seen David but I have fond memories of our boyhood years growing up in North Balwyn and playing cricket in each other’s driveways!

I would occasionally over the years hear of David from his lovely late mother at St Bede’s. I wish that I could have stayed in touch more with David and so saddened to hear of his passing.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere condolences to David’s family.

  3. Farewell David.
I met you through your brother Paul and I looked up to you equally as a friend. I’ll always remember you coming over to my place (200 metres from your old North Balwyn home) to play some computer games together or to swap some videos of shows we had taped. I also remember the days when we would drive in my beaten up Kingswood to the Kew Recreation Pool for a swim. Certainly remember the fun we had at places such as the Greyhound, the Harp, the Beehive and in later years, the MCG. And who could forget the antics we got up to after the 1987 Grand Final with your mates and with Paul. You were certainly a very smart and funny guy. It’s sad to see you go so young. You will not be forgotten.

  4. Dave
You will be missed. I was always amazed at your incredible knowledge of horse racing and your ability to recite the events of a race. I always looked forward to our conversations and being at the races with you. I remember your interest in becoming a horse trainer and the bets we had around your potential Group 1 success. You were always a very generous an honest person in life. You are now under new starters orders. Miss you Dave

  5. Days at Flemington and Caufield will not be the same but sadly this is the cycle of life, albeit one ended far too young. As we gather again at these places that provide us with such great memories you will remain in ours.

    Rest in peace Dave

  6. Remembering a loyal mate, a wonderful mind and an incredibly warm heart. Until we meet again at the big racetrack in the sky. Vale Dave

  7. Dave,
Haven’t seen you for a few years but your friendship, conversation, clever wit and generous sarcasm was always welcome and now sadly missed. Visits to Flemington and the MCG won’t be the same with their revenue bound to drop.
    Barmbers, it’s your round.
Cheers mate. You are not forgotten.

  8. Dear Dave

May you rest in peace and be re-united in heaven with your beloved parents, who will have missed you terribly of recent years . Our love and prayers are with you, your family and friends. You will be missed by everyone who’s lives you have touched. Farewell Dave
