Des' family invites you to leave tributes and share memories below.

  1. Dearest Des,
Always loved the way you lived your life firm yet fair caring for your beloved wife – my Dear cousin Margie xo
Bowling was definitely your thing and I remember my introduction to bowling and your enthusiasm for your sport xo
Recent memory of my short stay with you and Margie is a treasure as we shared a meal of wine and food xo
I always enjoyed your subtle teasers about any vested interest such as politics or religion xo

  2. Rest in peace, Des. We go back a long way to our days at Parade, and it has been a great pleasure to met with you from time to time in recent years to talk of days old and new. My heartfelt condolences to Margaret and all your family members. Dennis Green.

  3. We shared two schools together so long ago. We enjoyed many years of annual Christmas lunches shared at various venues. The conversation was always relaxed and familiar. The years fell away when we met. Rest in Peace old friend. Mike and Tony

  4. A beautiful man and such a personable man Des, a terrific friend to my Dad (Frank Nolan), and a service that honoured Des so well. You lived a full life. You’ll be missed by many. Cheer cheer the red & the white. Rest In Peace!

  5. Des was a gentleman in every sense. Unfailingly kind, optimistic and unflappable. A dear man and a sad loss.

  6. Such a gentleman who always had time to spare for a chat and provided levelheaded advice. Calm, kind and that smile were always a welcome site at the ATO.
