  1. Farewell Aunty Dot.

Fondest memories of tram trips to South Melbourne beach on hot summer’s days when we were little, tales of Irish dancing and playing in the Irish Pipe band with Aunty Joan, and, of course, your passion for the Blues including many stories of what you and Mum got up to going to the footy over many years. I loved your collection of 78rpm records and nights at Nanna’s listening to Irish classics such as “The Stone Outside Dan Murphy’s Door”. I could always count on your collection to help me practise my Irish Dancing.
In more recent times, your body was letting you down but your mind was sharp as a tack. You really didn’t miss a trick and enjoyed a laugh. It was special for us, having lost Mum so young, to have you fill many of the gaps about the Walshe’s growing up that we never had a chance to ask Mum about.
As a woman of strong faith, I know you will be held in the palm of God’s hand and that you will find joy in reuniting with those you loved in life, especially Paddy and Nanna.
    Rest in peace, Aunty Dot.
    Love always,
