Michael and I attended St Joseph’s Institution, Singapore, both of us became teachers, although we taught in different schools, he in Melbourne and I in Singapore, and reunited in Melbourne in December 1977. A great friend, untiringly generous with his time to help or to cheer you up, Michael’s infectious laughs make reunions jolly and full of fun. A beautiful singer, willing linguist and a great lover of foods; especially Singapore/Malaysian cuisines.Deeply saddened by his departure but our memories of him will be with us forever. Love to Claudia, Ronald and Jonathan and their families.

  3. Michael a long time colleague fellow teacher may you Rest In Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Claudia and family,
    Sue and Maurice Ferdinando

  11. Jan & I are saddened by the loss of Mike and Condolences to Claudia and the Family. I always enjoyed a close and warm relationship with Michael from my school days at SJI … at Pelandok Scout Group, on the Hockey Pitch (where Michael favoured using the English style Hockey stick), at Waterloo Street (where he hung out a lot, enjoying the Food and camaraderie of fellowJosephians) & mostly we shared the long bicycle rides home to Pasir Panjang from SJI.
I shall miss hearing Mike’s favourite “TOCK” Calls. Rest in Peace dear Michael 🙏 😢

  12. In reverence and tears we thank Claudia, Ronald and Jonathon and families and friends for providing us with the chance to be present to Michael’s Eucharist and Farewell. As in life he was an inspiration to us all. In his death he once again has reminded us how to live.
