  1. Fr Dean Bradbury S.A.C. and the team at Pallotti College extend their heartfelt condolences to all the Whiting family at the death of Reg Whiting. Reg was a thorough gentleman in all aspects of the word with a deep intelligence, quick mind, thoughtfulness and care.

He was a lovely and attentive listener when in conversation – you always thought you were the most important person in the room to him when you were engaged in discussion. He was a devoted Catholic and member of our Pallottine family, giving great example of how to live a life of love. United with his beloved wife, Joyce. in the arms of God. Rest in peace.

  2. There were 29 Grandchildren for Caroline and George Whiting. Today we farewell Reg, the longest living one of these! Well done Reg. From Marie Whiting and Lilian Gleeson (nee Whiting) – two of your first cousins.

  3. Reg you were always a true gentleman and you carried yourself well. A true Christian we will miss you always, you deserve your place in Heaven. Sincere condolences from the Pertile family to all your family in this time of grief.

  4. I didnā€™t know Reg personally, only through his children Lawrence and Teresa who I worked with for many, many years. From them I knew what an incredible family man he was and a devoted member of his faith. Reg will now be with Joyce. My deepest condolences to you all.

  5. Reg was a devoted and inspirational Director of the John 23rd Co-op for many years, and did a power of good in the Co-op and at the Fidelity Bookshop, including voluntarily handling the pays and accounts for many years. To my mother Maureen Schaefer and dad Brian Schaefer (R.I.P.)and sister Clare he was a loved and valued friend and colleague while at the co-op and for many years Condolences to Lawrence and all of the family.

  6. Our deepest condolences on the loss of a wonderful man. Our thoughts are with you all and especially Cecilia, our friend and colleague. With deepest sympathy, Kirstie and the team at Services Australia Ringwood.

  7. Condolences to all the Whiting’s and their families. Beautiful service to a lovely gentleman. Fond memories of afternoon teas with Reg and Cecilia at Margaret Whitings enjoying shortbreads and great conversations. May Reg find an heavenly newspaper with a challenging General Knowledge crossword šŸ˜‰ and may he rest in peace.

  8. Hi Mary,
It was great to be able to live stream Reginald’s funeral mass. What a wonderful and full life your dad lead. The memories shared by Cecilia, Kevin and Bernard were outstanding. The photo tributes brought back many memories. Strange how our lives crossed in Chiltern, your family from 1962 to 1967, my family from 1966 to 1970. It seems our fathers had a few things in common, Army Service on the Queensland Tableland, and an amazing ability with mental arithmetic(it never ceased to amaze me).
I hope you are able to enjoy your years ahead after devoting so much time to the care of your Dad.
All the best, love and peace always, Michael Barker.
PS. I still have Kevin’s cap from Champagnat College Wangaratta, unfortunately his blazer is no where to be found..

  9. Sincere condolences to the Whiting family. Reg was always a thorough gentleman and was welcoming and interested in our Uni group when we visited Pascoe Vale. We will miss him.

  10. Sincere condolences to extended Whiting family.
I worked with Reg, in State Bank, he was a tremendous mentor and valued work colleague.
