  1. My dear friend oh how I am going to miss our phone calls and catch ups. I still cannot believe you are no longer here.
    No more struggles RIP LOVELY LADY AND DEAR FRIEND.


  2. Ruth was a lovely beautiful soul. I saw Ruth a number of times over many years during family get togethers, birthdays and Christmas. Whenever we saw each other we always had great conversations and shared alot of laughs together. Ruth’s love of animals showed what a caring person she was. I was shocked when i was told Ruth had passed and it made me feel that i wish that we could have had more chances to see each other to talk and to have a laugh. My sincere condolences go out to Matthew, Pamela and the rest of her family.
    Rest In Peace Ruth, you will be sorely missed.

  10. Dear Ruth, I met you when you started at the blood bank, I liked you immediately and never changed my mind about the sort of person you were, your kindness and caring shone through…. I remember how you cooked for us all and the pleasure you took in doing so… rest happily my friend fly with the angels on the back of a unicorn.❤️❤️❤️

    Many of us lost a dear friend & colleague in Av last week, such a big shock to all of us.

    Av, If we could all reach up & hold a star for every time you’ve made a Donor, a Colleague or a friend, laugh & smile, even if just for a short moment…
    the entire evening sky would be in the palm of all our hands…

    Bless you gorgeous Av, you have been given your Angel wings, way to early, but we know you are at rest now & without the pain. You had a very big heart, always so kind & giving to us all & all creatures great or small. You will be so sadly missed, but never forgotten. Fly high now gorgeous friend.

  17. Av so many memories I have of you. Your love of animals being paramount. So kind and caring to donors and staff. . I was always amazed how you prepared the donors drinks after their donation without them even asking as you knew what their preferences were. So good with names and faces , you were amazing. You were loved by so many and I will miss you.Condolences Matt and family. RIP Av xxx

  18. Ruth, What can I say? I am devastated. Words cannot even begin to describe the pain I feel. You were the only person that truly knew and understood me. I will miss our three hour calls and our messenger video parties complete with our old time music, singing and pianola roll sessions. You have been the most generous and loving person that i have ever known. We have all been lucky to have been touched by a true angel. Ruth, Thank you for being there for me and for all the great times we have shared together over 20 years. I will never forget you and you will always be in my heart for as long as I live.
    My sincere condolences to Matthew, Pamela and to all the family during this difficult time. I am devastated that I cannot be there with you all today.

  20. Av, I’m heartbroken 😔 You were my work mum who always helped me out when I needed it. I loved doing the Sunday crosswords with you and googling the answers for you when we were stuck lol. I miss sharing our stories and just having a good old laugh. I will dearly miss you and I’m sorry I never got a chance to say good bye to you while I’ve been away. I have our text messages and voice clips as a memory of our time spent together. I hope you’ve found peace and I will always be thinking of you. Rest In Peace my dearest friend xo

  26. Avril was one of the most caring people I have known and definitely the biggest animal lover! She will be greatly missed by all staff and donors including my Mum (Liz) who said she will miss her chats with Avril.

  27. Dearest Pamela, Kim, Matt, family and friends.
    Our heartfelt thoughts are with you.
    Although our encounters with Ruth were brief with huge gaps in between.
    Bubbly energy oozed from Ruth and we were lucky to share some special Christmas days together.
    The service was an incredible testament to her dear soul. All that she represented in life was surrounding her and always will.
    You should be so proud of the beautiful send off you gave her in such difficult times.
